This was a custom order baby album... owl themed! Owls seem to be popular for baby showers and rooms these days, and this paper designer made these little wise guys adorable! I do have more owls if you are looking for the perfect baby gift... custom orders can usually be completed within a week! Got records?

Flea markets and thrift stores are full of old vinyl records... and you can create some fabulous crafts with them! Here is one special order that turned out to be a birthday gift... created with records.

Spouse Event Spring Craft

Are you in charge of planning a fun spouse night for your unit or club but aren't sure what to do? How about a craft event? Between now and May, while supplies last, Tenaciously Remembered is offering the chipboard banner below as a fun group project: 

These banners are very popular on Pinterest right now (you can see different ideas for decorating on Pinterest: http://www.pinterest.com/search/pins/?q=chipboard%20banner). The cost is $10 per banner, up to eight letters, and then $1 for each additional letter. Anyone whose word or name is less than 4 letters will get two additional boards to put red hearts on, like the "Cruz" banner above. The "Guthrie" banner is about 2 feet long and each board in the banner is about 3x4 inches. There are four color choices: white/red/black (pictured), white/green/black (pictured), white/teal/black, and white/pink black. A photo with all of the choices is below.

We will be painting and stamping, so plan to wear casual clothes/bring aprons. I recommend that you reserve community room 655 because of the tile flooring and easy access to a sink. Iwakuni Craft and Information Fair March 22!

Extra Mixed Media Canvas Collage kits means a January class!

After teaching this class to a group of Japanese ladies, I have some kits left over, so I thought I would offer them to those aboard MCAS Iwakuni who are interested in creating this project. The class will be 7-9 p.m. at an MCAS Iwakuni building that will be announced. The project kit is $40.

There are only 8 kits available for this class. The kit includes materials for a 10x10 canvas collage frame, 6x6 decorated photo box and a 3x4 canvas frame. Photos shown are 4x6 inches, 5x5 inches and 3x3 inches.
