Some new Japanese-inspired albums...

It's the season of military moves and family visits here in Iwakuni, and I have had many requests for Japanese-inspired memory albums. Here are three of six I currently have available, all at an affordable $40. If you need a unique gift (I never make any two albums alike) to help preserve memories of Japan, these 8x8-inch albums are wonderful! All you need is a glue stick and your photos to finish the albums. I also do custom work, so click on a subject tab above to see some examples.

H&HS Spouse Event

I am excited to announce that I have been asked to put together a class kit for a MCAS Iwakuni H&HS spouse event in July. If you are an H&HS spouse, contact your FRO for details. The class will be at 7 p.m. July 18 and features a 6 x 6-inch Japanese-themed album with acrylic cover. No crafting experience necessary! Some baby-themed custom orders...

I had a couple of custom orders last week, which were a lot of fun to make. They were both created with babies in mind. The first was a small, two-drawer box (I completely forgot to take a photo of the "before," but it was stained dark brown and had wooden crescent moons for knobs) that Lisa found and brought to me to recreate for her granddaughter.

Rochelle wanted to keep things quiet for her baby's nap time, which meant discouraging people from using the doorbell when they stopped by. Here's the sign that she said worked within an hour of her hanging it up:

Mother's Day was just yesterday, and being the mama of two boys, I realize that sometimes memory projects and photo albums are a little, well, girly. So, I love it when I get the chance to rough things up a bit and make something boyish. These two albums were custom orders... the requests were "superheroes" and "camo." Here is what I came up with...

This is a great gift for Father's Day! 6x6 beach-themed album - $35

 It's not too late to get a unique album for Mother's Day! I have a number of albums already made and ready for your free personalization! Also, it seems like every third woman I see around here is pregnant, so I know there are going to be a lot of baby showers. A baby girl or baby boy album is the perfect gift... especially since I can put baby's name on it for free... or, if baby isn't named yet, the mother-to-be and bring it to me any time and I'll add it later.

Of course, I do custom work, too, so if your favorite is sold, or if you want a theme I don't have already made, I can usually have an album ready for you within a few days.
