When tape over the doorbell just won't work...

On MCAS Iwakuni, neighborhood life is what I imagine 1950's America's neighborhood life to be. Mothers didn't schedule play date for their school age children, they tossed them outside to go and make their own impromptu play date with the kids on the block. While my boys are embracing this wholeheartedly and are eager to answer our front door when the doorbell chimes (9 times out of 10 it's for them, anyway), some parents with newborns are not quite so thrilled about unexpected visitors pushing the doorbell... which, thanks to Murphy's Law, seems to be right in the middle of naptime.

To combat this interruption of naptime, mothers on base are resorting to hanging signs. I have created a handful of baby-inspired door signs for exhausted parents, and this was one that was a custom request as a gift:

This one is double-sided, so that the sign can be displayed all the time, not just when baby is sleeping. Signs are generally 8 inches square and are lightweight so they can be hung easily with stick-on hooks. Prices range from $20-$30, depending on what you order. Feel free to email me or message me on Facebook if you have any questions!
